WHAT IS THE GAS STRAND FOR?
- The General Academic Strand is for students who haven’t decided which college courses they’ll take yet. The learner will most likely be assigned bridge courses to assess his or her readiness for the field of study that he or she will pursue in the future. Students in the General Academic Strand will have the option of taking electives from any of the specialized disciplines offered by the other strands. Unlike other strands, the senior high school GAS provides students with a broad overview of the various subjects rather than a more focused approach. Students will work on topics from each of the three strands (HUMSS, STEM, and ABM).
